Abstract:
In order to evaluate the effects of different tillage systems on agronomic characteristics and yield of barely (Hordeum vulgare L.) an experiment was in research Farm of soil and water conservation research center of Tehran University in Kohin rain lands in 2021-2022. The experiment was carried out as an experiment designed as a 4 x 4 latin square with three replications. Experimental treatments include; no tillage (direct cultivation with liner machine), minimum tillage (twice disk + cultivation with liner machine), conservation tillage (chisel peker + cultivation with liner machine) and conventional tillage (moldboard plow + disk+ cultivation with liner machine). Results showed that the effect of tillage systems was significant on all studied parameters. The maximum spike length and plant height were obtained from conventional tillage and no tillage treatments. The results showed conventional tillage compares with no tillage, minimum tillage and conservation tillage, increased grain yield by 34.73%, 33.46% and 52.78%, respectively. In general, based on the results, due to the soil condition in the region, if conservation tillage is not to be used for several years, conventional tillage method is a suitable option to increase productivity in rainfed barley.
