Abstract:
Today, with the world moving towards the use of clean energy, the electrification of cars is one of these measures to move towards clean energy. Unlike cars that run on fossil fuels, according to the progress in the battery industry, the battery pack still makes up a significant percentage of the weight of an electric car. In this article, an attempt has been made to investigate the effect of the weight of the battery pack on the suspension system of a light off-road utility vehicle by using mathematical simulation relationships and the Simulink simulation environment of MATLAB software. The coefficients of the spring and damper were changed to evaluate the fluctuation of the mod output. The results showed that by reducing the weight and stiffness of the spring, the peak value of the oscillation is less than 1, and increasing the damper coefficient to 0.7 reduces the amount of oscillations in each peak and makes the complete oscillation reduction to less than 2 seconds.
