Abstract: |
Today, the preparation of crop performance map can play a decisive role in agricultural operations. This system consists of different sensors, one of them is the mass flow rate sensor for harvested grain.. In this study, design and construction of a system to obtain the mass flow rate of granular materials has been studied. For this purpose, after completing the design structures, a completely random experimental design was considered with factorial testing with three treatments of seed mass in the tank, the adjustable valve opening rate and the rotational speed of the rotary feeder. wheat grain was used for experiments. For each mass of wheat, each of the rotational speeds of the feeder and each of the valve distances were adjusted and the measurement was made by passing the material from the upper tank to the gate and from the gate to the rotary feeder and finally deleveried to lower tank. Finally, by recording the test time, the mass flow rate was obtained in kg/s. SAS software was used to analyze the results of the experiments with the designed and built system. The results of analysis of variance at the 1% probability level showed that the effect of mass and gate opening was significant and the effect of the rotary speed of the feeder was not significant. The coefficient of regression explanation was 0.99 and also the appropriate relation for the system was obtained that the flow in measuring with this system can be easily calculated by this relation. |
