Design and manufacturing method of hazelnut collection machine with pneumatic method by cyclone

Abstract:
This machine should be able to pick the hazelnut from the ground and store it separately from the foliage in a special tank. In this research, the hazelnut harvesting machine was designed and built, which can perform hazelnut harvesting operations by vacuum force (suction force).In the first phase of this research, a proposed design for the chassis in SolidWorks 2019 software was designed. After various studies on different parts of the chassis, changes were made in the dimensions and the way it was moved on the farm. The final design was then modeled again in SolidWorks 2019 software . After the chassis, it was necessary to select the appropriate dimensions for the cyclone, which after studying the cyclones and how to transfer solids, the most appropriate dimensions for the cyclone were selected and modeled. After this step, the desired device was made. After making the device, static analysis was performed on the chassis and fluid analysis was performed on the cyclone. The results of static analysis on the chassis performed in the software environment of SolidWorks 2019 showed that the desired chassis is strong enough to carry the engine.The result of cyclone fluid analysis also showed that the cyclone provides the desired wind speed and pressure in its inlet and outlet chambers. After laboratory and field testing on the machine, it was concluded that the fabricated machine is capable of harvesting and separating hazelnuts.
