Abstract:
Nowadays, the use of no-tillage seed drill methods to preserve water and soil and reduce energy consumption is popular. In this research, a mounted seed drill was designed for the no-tillage of various types of seeds in rainfed fields.. the planters were installed on three separate toolbars to facilitate the passage of plant residues and the distance of each planter from together was 38 cm. The flow of chickpea seed (Mansour) in different gear ratios at six metering devices was determined, and the accuracy of seed flowing was evaluated by statistical methods. also, planter strength was analyzed by finite element models. The results showed that according to the selected gear ratio, this machine was able to distribute chickpea seeds from 40.2 to 159.3 kg per hectare based on the gear ratio selection in adjustable manner. The difference in seed flowing between the metering device was not significant, which indicates chickpea seeds distributed between the Planter for all of the gear ratios uniformly. Also, the results of stress analysis by the finite element method showed that besides the reduce the tensile strength of the soil, the required strength for the stem planter against the forces applied by the soil could be reduced the stem thickness and increase the stem width. The maximum amount of stress applied to the planter by the theory and finite elements method was 298 and 331.6 MPa, respectively, which was less than the yield strength of the planter.
