Abstract:
Agricultural productivity has become very important in recent years due to population increase, and constant resources. Precision planting, which is considered as a subset of precision agriculture. Precision planting determine the quantity of which and how much part of the field is cultivated. The main part of precise planting is the seed flow monitoring sensors in the seed tubes of the planters. These sensors are installed in the path of the seed flow and display the status of the fall tube, including flow, lack of flow, and blockage. Also, these sensors can measure the seed flow rate in the seed tubes. In this research, a sensor was developed to measure seed flow in precision planting. The performance of two signal receiving methods in the microcontroller based on interrupt and analog to digital were compared, And despite the high accuracy and speed of the interrupt-based algorithm, the algorithm based on the analog-to-digital converter was recognized as the superior algorithm due to more possibilities and the possibility of setting the threshold level at the beginning of planting operation and at the end of each row and its higher resistance against dust.
