Design and manufacturing of water holding cultivator

Abstract:
The water holder cultivator device is a conservation and tillage devise. This device is connected to the back of the tractor with a 3-point hitch and receives the required power through the tractor's hydraulic system. In this device, a frame with a square industrial profile of 120 mm is used. The tiller arms can be moved transversely on the main frame due to the screw connection. The range of up and down of the arm of the device can be changed by means of built-in cams with 10 cm eccentricity. The height of the damns is provided by adjusting the position of the end shovels. The water holder cultivator device is able to create small damns with variable transverse distances and at 80-170 cm long distances. The function of the device is in conservation agriculture and to control water flows during irrigation using the pivot method or rain irrigation or in sloping lands. The best practical performance and efficiency of the device were obtained, respectively, 1.39 hectares per hour and 69.5% to achieve the best damns.
