Abstract:
Due to the mechanization, the soils are more exposed to compaction. Compaction is the factors of soil weakening. The independent factor of the type of planting in two levels, where the confined compression (CCT) and plate sitting and confined compression (PST+CCT) were applied for three products of melon, cucumber and watermelon, and their optimal value was extracted. Purpose of this study is obtain the appropriate soil density for the mentioned products. 144 pots filled with farm soil were used and the compression was performed with a CBR machine. Moisture levels 15 and 17.5 percent and four density levels of 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 were used for the products. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was performed on the independent variables of humidity and density and the type of cultivation and dependent variables of stem length, root length, germination and seedling weight. In the form of completely random design, it was done in the stages of germination and vegetative growth up to 10 days after cultivation to compare the data. The results of research showed that for all three products, the root length in the enclosed compression (CCT) type of planting is more than the root length in the type of planting with the plate seating and confined compression (PST+CCT). For melon, best density is 1.3 and soil moisture is 15%. For watermelon, the best soil density is 1.4 or 1.3 and soil moisture is 15%. Results showed that best soil density for cucumber is 1.4% density and 17.5% soil moisture
