Simulation of solar water heating system of green building in Tehran with TRNSYS software

Abstract:
Given the increasing demand for energy consumption and the non-renewable and polluting nature of fossil fuel-based energy sources, the importance of research on renewable energy sources is clear to everyone. Green building is considered as an effective method for interaction between rapid development of construction, conservation of resources with minimal impact on the environment and distribution of renewable and clean energies. In this research, modeling of the performance of solar water heating system of green building based on solar thermal collector in providing the required hot water consumption of the building using TRNSYS software was performed. To heat water, solar thermal collector, heater and pump were used. The results of this research showed us that in cold months of the year, heater is used to heat water and in warm months of the year, solar thermal collector is used. In warm months of the year, the efficiency of the collector increases and in cold months of the year, the efficiency decreases. When solar energy increases in the morning and evening from 8 am to 6 pm, the energy required from the heater decreases. In other words, with increasing solar energy up to 6000 degrees Celsius, the temperature of the heater decreases and reaches 2000 degrees Celsius and 4000 degrees Celsius is saved in the heater.
