Abstract:
Frost is one of the most important factors of damage in agricultural production in the country and causes irreparable damage to the production cycle and agricultural economy. A wide range of the most fertile production areas of the country are exposed to this threat. The role of solar energy in gardens and greenhouses has a significant impact. In this research, design and performance evaluation of a solar cylinder hot air system for preventing frost damage in trees is proposed. The system consists of a horizontal air cylinder. The air cylinder used in this research is used to conduct hot air and store thermal energy. It will be made of thick plastic and black in color so that it can store the maximum heat during the day. Its dimensions will be selected according to the thermal power of the collector and the width of the planting bed of the trees. The thermal energy stored in the air cylinder is transferred out during the night and prevents frost damage to the trees. The proposed system was modeled after data collection. The effect of independent variables (light intensity, air speed, ambient temperature) on dependent variables such as air cylinder temperature and humidity was investigated. And its statistical design and heat transfer were compared and the results of this research showed that the temperature of the air cylinder during the day has a temperature retention capacity up to 70 degrees but at night the temperature of the cylinder is equal to the ambient temperature
