Abstract: |
Considering that one of the most important priorities of mechanization in agriculture is the optimal use of all kinds of agricultural machines. On the other hand, due to the vulnerability of agricultural machines and equipment, as well as the increase in mechanization in the agricultural sector, the need for repair shops increases. Agricultural machinery repair shops increase the lifespan of agricultural machinery. Timely repairs of agricultural machinery are of great importance, therefore, locating an agricultural machinery repair shop is important for the progress of agriculture. The current research aims to locate suitable areas for agricultural machinery repair shops using Geographical Information System (GIS) and AHP method in Ahvaz city. First, the spatial and descriptive information and the data needed to conduct the research were prepared, and then the basic maps were entered into the GIS software. The weight of research layers was determined using AHP and the obtained layers were overlapped in GIS software. Finally, suitable areas for agricultural machinery repair shop were determined. The results showed that according to the final map, 13.45% of the area is very suitable, 39.16% is relatively suitable, 21.1% is poor, and 27.25% is unsuitable for an agricultural machine repair shop. Also, the results showed that Elhaye village with the largest area and Northern Ismailia are the most suitable villages for agricultural machinery repair shop. |
