Abstract:
Agricultural robots will play a significant and practical role in the future of agriculture, and the major progress in the field of smart and sustainable agriculture is due to the development of agricultural robotics. Specifically, the use of agricultural robots in various agricultural operations can change our approach to farming and provide farmers with improved efficiency, increased productivity, and high accuracy in monitoring products. In this study, a mobile and controllable robot has been designed and fabricated, which is equipped with herbicide injection system for weed control. Additionally, it can serve as a base for attaching other agricultural equipment, such as weeding operators, crop monitoring systems, yield estimation, and more. The technical equipment and hardware necessary for location in the field, detection of crop rows, and recognition of the main product and weeds have been prepared. The technical details and design of the mechanical and control systems of the robot are described in this study. The robot is designed to work on crop rows with a linear and row planting pattern, and the necessary technical equipment and hardware for detecting crop rows and obstacles, and recognizing the main product and weeds have been provided. It is predicted that with the completion of the necessary software section for the device, it can be used as a multifunctional robot in agricultural fields
