Abstract:
Nowadays, the need to ensure food security is recognized as one of the most important global issues. Therefore, to ensure food security, solutions and methods should be considered that increase the quantitative and qualitative yield and reduce waste. One of these methods is the application of new technology in precision agriculture from the field of mechatronic engineering.
Mechatronic systems are used in various scientific fields, including industrial goods, consumer products, and automatic equipment. Mechatronic science can be considered a prerequisite for the automation of equipment.
Intelligent mechatronic systems in agriculture have been known since the 1980s, with the beginning of research on automatic fruit harvesting systems in Japan, Europe, and the United States. significant progress has been made in the development of these systems for use in modern agriculture.
This study aims to investigate the applications of smart mechatronic systems that have been introduced and used in agriculture and other industrial fields. Various kinds of research have been done to get an overview of these systems' current status, advantages, and disadvantages in processing agricultural products. Finally, the one-way variance analysis of the relationship between the obtained information and the resources of intelligent mechatronic systems shows that with the limited use of these systems in the agricultural industry, the production rate decreases and due to the strong dependence on global needs, food security in The global arena is severely damaged. As a result, to overcome this inefficiency, it is necessary to use intelligent mechatronic systems in different fields of agriculture
