Evaluating the Performance of Rice Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers in Guilan and Mazandaran Provinces with Supply Chain Operation Reference Model

Abstract:
The most important challenge of rice mechanization in Guilan and Mazandaran provinces is its dependence on imports. Agricultural machinery market research has been done in this research to strengthen the internalization capacity of mechanized technologies required for rice cultivation in Guilan province. Also, activating this capacity requires reforming the supply chain of agricultural machines in the region, relying on domestication. Based on this, the current research has analyzed the current status of the rice agricultural machinery supply chain in Guilan and Mazandaran provinces at the level of manufacturers using the supply chain operation reference model (SCOR) and descriptively. The results showed that due to the small size of the agricultural equipment manufacturing units, it is not possible to integrate the supply chain for them. All the dimensions of the SCOR model indicate the inappropriate conditions of the supply chain management of agricultural machinery for rice production. Designing and forming an agile supply chain in cooperation with domestic small manufacturers can increase their individual interests and increase production capacity and competition with imported machines. Therefore, the formation of an industrial cluster with the participation of rice agricultural machinery manufacturers in Guilan and Mazandaran provinces is suggested to strengthen their role and performance and increase their ownership of the supply chain of agricultural machinery.
