Abstract:
In this study, the modeling and optimization of the solar thermal system was discussed in order to supply the thermal load of the poultry house. The studied poultry house is 8 m long, 5 m wide and 2.5 m high. In this way, solar thermal collectors with different cross-sectional areas were investigated and the best surface area of the solar collector was suggested to achieve the maximum solar fraction (maximum benefit of solar energy). In this study, the solar collector is a flat plate type (FPC). The simulation is performed using TRNSYS software. The results showed that in optimal conditions, 26 m2of solar collector with a slope of 47 degrees (Considering the tank volume of 440 liters and the optimal pump flow rate of 1700 kg/h) is needed. By installing 18 m2 and 30 m2 of solar collectors, 62% and 100% of the total energy can be supplied by the sun
