Abstract:
Photovoltaic charging stations have gained significant attention as a sustainable solution for charging electric vehicles (EVs) using renewable energy sources. This paper emphasizes the necessity of integrating EVs with renewable energies and focuses on the different modes of charging, including grid-based charging, solar-based charging, and hybrid charging systems that combine multiple energy sources. The paper discusses the classification of EV charging, exploring various charging levels and their specifications. Furthermore, it delves into the topology of EV charging systems, outlining different components such as charging stations, communication systems, and power management units. The study also provides a detailed analysis of solar-based EV charging, highlighting the advantages, challenges, and potential solutions in implementing photovoltaic systems for charging EVs. Overall, this research contributes to the understanding of photovoltaic EV charging stations and their role in promoting sustainable transportation and renewable energy integration and can be a beneficial introduction for those researchers wants to study on electric vehicles.
