Abstract:
The combine is the main machine for field work in the harvest season. When this harvester breaks down and cannot continue to work, it indirectly affects the harvest time and farm performance. In this research, using the repair method after the occurrence of failure on the common rail engine of TC56 combines, a progress preventive maintenance program on the fuel system, which was the main cause of failure of these combines, was investigated. A case study was conducted on the engine of 80 NewHolland combine harvesters model TC56 manufactured by NewHolland factory, which were working in grain harvesting in Fars province. First, the costs imposed on the combine owners were collected and by designing three service models on the fuel supply system, the effect of three periodic services of 250, 500 and 1000 hours on the lifetime of the injector needles of these devices through the F test with an error level of 1 The percentage was analyzed based on completely random models and the significance of the effect of triple services in increasing the life span of injector needles was observed. This life span at the time of failure covered a range of 400 hours to 5,000 hours based on engine operating hours. By examining the working hours compared to the increase in the cost-to-income ratio in case of no service, the best solutions were suggested to increase the life of the injector needles, such as separating water from diesel fuel and using Euro5 and 6 standard diesels.
